Period Delay Service

When waiting for an important event or planning a holiday, getting your period can be an inconvenience and add an amount of stress that can be avoided! Many women find it’s a good option to delay the onset of their period when its timing interferes with planned activities. Our period delay service might be just the thing for you!

With our period delay service, you can stop your period for up to 17 days, so you have one less thing to worry about. Norethisterone allows your period to resume a few days later when the event has passed, and it is more convenient.

What is Norethisterone and how does it work?

The medication norethisterone treats menstrual problems by delaying your period. In this product, norethisterone, a synthetic version of progesterone, is the active ingredient. The levels of progesterone won’t fall as they normally would before your period since Norethisterone mimics the effects of female hormones and keeps the levels of progesterone up, keeping the uterine lining healthy. Inhibition of ovulation delays uterine shedding of the lining, thereby preventing menstruation.

How and when should I take Norethisterone?

The recommended dose for women of childbearing potential is 5mg three times a day, swallowed with water. You should start taking the tablets three days before you expect to get your period. Do not take the pills for more than 17 days as over an extended period of time it can have side effects and affect your hormone balance.

How soon after stopping will I get my period?

You should get your period 2-3 days after you stop taking Norethisterone tablets.

What if I don’t get my period after stopping treatment?

After ceasing the tablets, it takes a few days for the body to adjust the change in the levels of hormones. If you do not get your period a week after stopping the tablets, take a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. If you still don’t observe your period, contact your GP.
